Engine oil degradation impacts the operation and performance of an internal combustion engine. As a result, it is crucial to compare level engine oils, with particular emphasis on kinematic viscosity, oxidation, nitration, critical testing characteristics. Suppose changes too soon without first calculating its remaining usable life. In that case, wastes already scarce resources has unfavourable environmental influence. may suffer if changed late poor quality. current research, performed vehicles due maintenance find best moment for changing oil. Oil samples were taken randomly from cars came authorized service facility maintenance, comprising wide range fifth servicing. initially evaluated in laboratory using viscometer Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy conformity industry standards. The then integrated sensor system developed built by authors. determination coefficient R 2 = 0.97 showed significant positive association between major characteristics such as nitration at reasonable sensitivity.
